All the details
Fat Digester – Nottingham’s much-loved and longest continually-running groove collective – are celebrating an incredible 30 years of music, community and dancefloor energy with a special anniversary event at Castle Rock Brewery Yard and The Old Cold Store.
Formed in the 1990s, Fat Digester has built a strong reputation as one of Nottingham’s most enduring, dynamic and popular live acts. Known for their explosive fusion of funk, soul, hip-hop, dub, jazz and Latin influences, the band has spent three decades filling venues, festival tents and dancefloors across the UK and beyond.
The 30th Anniversary Yard Party will bring together a wide range of artists, collaborators and long-time friends of the band to create a spectacular showcase of the community spirit at the heart of Fat Digester.
There’ll be a large outdoor stage in Castle Brewery Yard, with all bands playing outside (weather-permitting!) from 2:30pm. Former Fat Digester guitarist and songwriter, Mark Blant, will play a solo set inside The Old Store as people arrive. The inside venue will also be used for merchandise sales and some fun nostalgia trips with decor, photos and projections celebrating 30 years of the Fats, plus an after-party DJ set to keep the celebrations going until midnight.
