Pre-Moot Spoon Carving and Whittling Introduction

About this event

Whittle away a couple of hours to learn the basic knife and axe skills that will prepare to confidently join in with the weekly Spoon Moot gatherings.

This is a 2 hour intensive session for people wanting to get to grips with the foundations of green wood carving: Safe axe and knife techniques suitable for carving spoons, or whittling any other functional, beautiful object. After the introduction session your first weekly Spoon Moot social is free, so you can stay on and carve with the community!

Every scheduled Pre-Moot session is 4pm-6pm – space is limited to 6 people.

Suitable for absolute beginners, or more  seasoned woodworkers too. 18 years old and over, or 12+ if an adult and young person book together.

The cost of £40 includes all tools, materials, tea, coffee and sweet edible fuel, plus free entry to your first 2 hour Spoon Moot session right afterward.
