All Women Are Equal: a Trans Film Double-Bill

This double-bill screening takes place as part of Nottingham Pride 2026, presented by Nottingham Nourishment Network (CIC) and Notts Queer History Archive. The programme features two short films exploring trans histories and resilience, centred around All Women Are Equal, a newly discovered archive film from 1972. The film includes rare footage of Paula, a trans woman from Nottingham, documenting local trans life during that era. It is paired with Happy Birthday, Marsha!, a short that reimagines the hours preceding the Stonewall uprising. The screening will be followed by discussion.
