Southbound brings countrified Americana to Billy Bootleggers on Saturday 7 March. This five-piece electric and acoustic ensemble from Derby delivers country rock and Americana with considerable musicianship. Each member is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist with extensive experience in American roots music traditions.
The band draws inspiration from decades of American roots music, interpreting material from artists including Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, the Everly Brothers, Creedence Clearwater Revival, the Grateful Dead, and contemporary performers such as Lucinda Williams and Old Crow Medicine Show. Expect an energetic performance designed to engage the audience. The band takes the stage at 5pm sharp with free entry to this live music event.
