Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra perform a blend of swing, honky-tonk, and rockabilly at Billy Bootleggers on Saturday 23 May 2026. The Newcastle-based ensemble combines influences from blues, country, soul, and traditional American music, creating a distinctive sound that has earned them recognition across the UK and Europe.
Over the past decade, the five-piece band has released five albums and toured extensively, performing at venues ranging from Glastonbury and Cambridge Folk Festival to intimate village halls. Their forthcoming sixth album, recorded live to tape in Berlin, features saxophonist Ben Powling and showcases the group's evolved musical direction. The band is joined by support act The Most Ugly Child, an alt country and folk group. All profits from ticket sales are donated to the Music Venue Trust.
