About this event
Prostitute is an experimental post-punk and Arab rock band formed in Dearborn, Michigan in 2020. Their debut album, Attempted Martyr, blends abrasive guitars, primitive basslines, frenzied drumming, and corrosive synthesizers with samples from African, Middle Eastern, and East Asian cultures. The band's work examines stereotypes and xenophobia through theatrical and literary approaches, creating politically charged performances that have earned them invitations to notable festivals including No Rest Fest and New Colossus Festival.
