The classic, yet rather tragic play, follows The Kellers, a family haunted by the loss of their missing son, Larry, who disappeared serving as a pilot in World War II. The family falters and American-dream fragments, as it comes to light that Joe’s business partner was convicted of manufacturing cracked aeroplane engines, resulting in 21 pilot deaths. This modernised classic features a stripped-back set, intense staging designs, with high-stakes, slow-burn emotional performances.
